James Blake - 'Overgrown' Album out April 8

I am so excited about the release of James Blakes second studio album! His self-titled debut album came out in FEB 2011  and is just incredible.  Id even go so far as to say to me it sonically the most beautiful recording there is. It is my go to album for testing speakers, headphones and even to compare my own mixes to. From the sounds of it he might even just take it a step further the first thing I notice listening to 'Retrograde' The Vocals sound more rich and mature while still  maintaining that touching emotional conection.

....Such beautiful inspiring music!

 Do yourself a solid.

Akif Hakan

Akif Hakan - An Amercian Photogrpaher of Turkish Origin.  Now based in HK, London and Istanbul! He has a rather enchanting fashion folio, however his personal work is what really caught my eye. Emotional, sexual and at quite moving. I found myself browsing through his extensive folio for the best part of the afternoon.

Chet Baker

I came across this video of one of my favourite musicians Chet Baker.

A was a real mess of a man. A drug addict who in 1968 was beaten to the point that his teeth were knocked out, leaving him without the ability to play his horn for many years.

On May 13, 1988 Chet baker fell to his death out of a 2nd floor hotel room in Amsterdam. He had cocaine and heroin in his system and there was large amounts of both drugs in his room. Officially his death was ruled an accident however no one will ever know for sure what really happened.

A hauntingly beautiful voice and such an atmospheric trumpet player. I love a good tragic musician story don't you?

Beauty At the V8s

In 2011 my good friend hooked me up with a job as Campaign Manager for a promotional campaign for a smartphone. It involved traveling to all the V8 Supercar events and demonstrating the new "Competition to iPhone" Long hours, great money, crazy nights out with all the promotional staff and grid girls at each event. But by far my favourite part was part was the people watching! race fans are another breed of human. So armed with my discrete little Ricoh GRIII I collected quite an album - See Full Gallery
